HiLife Chewsday! Smokey Pawky Bone

What is it?

A pressed pork rawhide bone with smoke flavour

What was it like?

I've had this type of  treat before but never one that was branded! I liked it, it takes a while to chew and it keeps me quiet, Again because it is made of rawhide, I was supervised while eating it.

Best Points

Cheap and cheerful I guess

Worst Points

Rawhide!
Made in China, look into it ... maybe not the most ethical place to source treats from!!!

Price

59p

Vet's Kitchen Little Stars Active+ Treats

What are they?

Small, bite-sized soft treats in the shape of a star, containing dried salmon, rice, oats and with glucosamine, chondrotin and (are you ready for this?) methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) for healthy joints.

What are they like?

So I have to admit that I wasn't interested in these at all, I preferred to go off and play with my ball. I did try them the next day but still didn't get excited over these.
I should like these - they are small, soft and contain 'real' ingredients but *shrugs* Not for me!
My hooman says they smell like cat biscuits (that'll be the salmon then!)

Best Point

The packaging looks very modern

Worst Point

I hated them ... brutal but true!!!

Would you buy them again?

Nope!

Nylabone Romp'n'Chomp Treat Toy

What is it?

This is a tough but slightly flexible see-through bone that has a slot to fit a real treat inside it plus four diamond (or square depending on the angle you chew on it!) slots that you can fill and freeze for added fun!

What was it like?

I loved this, I worked to get that treat out first then lost interest but kept returning to it over time. Sadly I managed to chomp this up into rubbery blue shards so best to be supervised more closely!
I never had chance to try it out frozen and the treat bit was never replaced as the shop we brought it from had sold out.

Best Points

It looks cool and kept me entertained despite me being a ball addict.

Worst Points

Not indestructible (this toy does not claim to be - it's for moderate chewers)

Would you buy it again?

I would definitely have replaced the treats if I hadn't wrecked the toy before hand BOL

Price

Brought on offer, normally around £7

It looks great but just couldn't survive my chewing!

Wilko 5 Chicken Chewy Chips

What are they?

These are larger than life beef rawhide pieces that are covered in a chicken flavoured coating.

What are they like?

I know there is some debate about the suitability of rawhide for dogs but I LOVE these, I think as long as you are supervised while eating them they are fine (this goes for any rawhide treats)

Best Points

My hooman says they are great for keeping me quiet for 5 minutes!

Bad Points

That they are rawhide?

Price

I will definitely be trying the other two flavours that are available, all in all we think these are value for money and they DO keep me quiet for at least 15 minutes BOL
