Greenies Dental Toothbrush Petite 17g

 What is it?

A tiny little dental chew, shaped like a toothbrush, and made from cereals. those vegetable derivatives, meat and animal derivatives, fruit, minerals, seeds, oils & fats and yeast.

What was it like?

I liked this, it is quite hard but not too hard I couldn't munch it up.

Would you buy this again?

Hmmm? There are other brands on the market for a similar price but you get more for your money, so maybe, maybe not ...

Looking for a needle in a haystack

Not an official POTD but just one my hooman took before or whole day went to pieces.

It shows ME looking for my teenie, tiny tennie ball in the clumps of long grass (of all the places to lose it) It was soon after this that my hooman realised they'd lost their keys and that kick started off the worst day ever.

Let's just say I never, ever want a day like this again.

Out & About

Both my hooman's were off today so instead of letting them have a lie-in, I dragged them out of bed (licking of ears and genuinely being a nuisance works every time or it might just be the alarm going off? *shrugs*) and made them take me on an early morning walk.
For a moment I thought we were going to the river (that was the direction I was pulling them in) but we ended up going up the hill instead.

In the Wild

A rather late evening walk so my hooman could participate in the #30DaysWild ... not sure me being 'garotted' by a stray twig of hawthorn counts??? *chokes*

Bakers Rewards with tasty chicken 100g

 What are they?

Oops, these are very similar to what I reviewed a few weeks ago, but are in the shapes of sticks, with small 'half hearted' grooves imprinted on them to aid breaking up into bite-sized 'reward' chunks. They are made from meat/animal derivatives 25% (equivalent to 40% rehydrated and a poor minimum of 4% chicken) blah blah blah ...

What were they like?

OK got quite excited (as per usual) about trying something new but where I relished eating the first two, I haven't touched them since (in fact there is still one on the stairs several days post review!)

Would you buy them again?

Surprisingly no, considering the brand - quite disappointed in these.

Wet Butt, dirty look!

So today it rained and rained but you know I still needed to GO out (if you get my drift!) and after sitting at the door 'begging' for what seemed like hours (and indeed it was hours) ... finally, my hooman's decided I looked desperate enough (I was going to explode) for them to finally move their sorry butts!

Now I needed a picture so my hooman told me to sit (yes SIT in the l-o-n-g WET grass)

Hmpffff!!!

Sometimes it is RUFF being a dog!

P.S my hooman says I look like I am 'GOING' in this pic ... I promise you I am NOT mid-poop!!!

Goodboy Mini Face Ball

What is it?

A brightly-coloured latex ball with a squeak!

What was it like?

My hooman knew this wouldn't last long in my paws (teeth?!?) as the latex means this toy feels very 'flimsy' compared to the tougher plastic toys you can buy.
BUT ...
It lasted me a good half hour or more and that included the squeak so they were rather relieved when I finally killed it (I found this very easy to shred so I guess I should have been supervised)

Would you buy it again?

I LOVED it so yes but I just have to persuade my hooman to endure that squeak BOL

looking forlorn

It has rained nearly all day and despite a wet weather walk and the arrival of 4 brand new mini tennis balls, I still look forlorn.

Damn claw still playing up
(I'm OK until I run about on long grass where I catch it again)
I guess I really, really need to rest it ... *sighs*

Just out of reach

Super hot day today and a walk along the river with plenty of opportunities to take a plunge!

We found this long abandoned water trough hidden by nettles and other plants - how we have missed this before, we'll never know!
My hooman was busy taking pictures of the water snails and upside down bugs (#30DaysWild) when I decided to get in on the act ... dropping my ball right in there.

 backswimmers (Notonecta glauca)

I attempted to get it back by balancing on the sides and trying to coax the ball back to me by dipping my paw in the water but in the end, I just jumped in and the water - once clear - was then muddy!! Poor bugs!!

Chasing orchids

Yippee!!! Finally, after a few years of being too late, we timed our visit just right and the orchids were just beginning to flower.

So just what is all the fuss about???

We just need to identify them now ... but in the meantime, here's the pic of me racing through the orchids as a young nipper! (10/06/2011)

Where's the eggs'n'bacon?

So my hooman got all excited at finding eggs and bacon but try as I might, no matter how hard I looked and sniffed - I couldn't find it anywhere!!!

Eggs and bacon (Lotus corniculatus)

Essentials from HiLife, fangtastic! seasonal chews

 What is it?

A sausage shaped treat made from rice flour and colourants, wrapped in a rawhide 'pastry'

What was it like?

I attacked this with relish (not literally relish as that is served with burgers not hot dogs!) and it kept me occupied for quite a while. The sausage was edible (I often reject these 'coloured' treats)

Would you buy it again?

Maybe ... once in a while ... I left pieces of rawhide and a very suspicious looking chunk of that sausage that looked to be something else lying on the floor - my hooman had to look twice at it BOL

statuesque

So despite my sore toe and a limp, I still managed to walk around the lake and because of all the distractions, my limp disappeared for most of our adventure (and yes I still managed to chase my ball!)
So much for taking it easy BOL

no flies on me

See it? There? Right above my head?

A damn fly!!!

Figures as we'd just spent ages trying to get one out of the house (even opening the front door for it) and STILL it wouldn't go ... plan B was put into action and the cans of bug killer were brought into play but who knew flies could hold their breath??? FINALLY it flew right back out the back door *sighs*

Bakers Mini Steaks 150g

What are they?

These are really chunky steak-shaped chewy treats made with cereals, vegetable protein extracts (fancy words for derivatives?) and other stuff with a minimum of only 4% real 'meat' and NO CHIPS *winks*

What are they like?

Delicious!!! Couldn't wait to sink my teeth into these.

Would you buy them again?

These are pretty bit steaks to be classed as 'mini' but could be broken up with a little effort on your hooman's part. I like these so would not hesitate to buy them again.
