Vitakraft Dog Minis 190g

What are they?

These are mini skinless sausages made from meat and animal deriviatives, minerals, and vegetable protein extracts and come in a tin. Recommended portion for me is 3 - 4 a day ... tins?

 What were they like?

These smell just like real hot dog sausages and taste just as good, I could have quite happily scoffed the whole contents of the tin and my expression in my photo is one of pure longing!

Would you buy them again?

I'm off to the petshop right now ...

Making me scratch!

No not fleas ... this is the effect my annual booster had on me ... the vet warned the new meds might itch and she was right. They did!!! (If only for a second or two)

Nerf Dog Trackshot Retriever (Small : 6.4cm)

 What is it?

A nylon ball with tear resistant coating and 3 x stronger stitching than standard plush toys.
It also floats and squeaks.

 What was it like?

So my hooman threw this for me and I chased after it and things looked good but that was that, I had absolutely no interest in it at all - my hooman took to kicking it around, throwing it up in the air and trying other wildly amusing acrobatics to try to persuade me this was better than my beloved tennis ball.

Sadly I remained unconvinced ...

... until we were home and it was left unattended on the stairs. Suddenly the allure of that squeak tempted me to steal it away and eat it ... I can say, paw on heart, that it is not an indestructaball*!!!

(*the packaging does say supervised play only)

Would you buy it again?

Loved the look of this ball, it felt very rugged despite being light, but given the cost, it is much cheaper buying tennis balls!

Sadly rating this 0/5 but to be fair, I was playing with my tennis ball first so that would explain my lack of interest out in the field - and I did love it to bits when I got home (pun intended!)

Misfits Nasher Sticks with Chicken and Beef 175g

What are they?

These are solid, cereal based sticks, with vegetable and meat /animal derivatives flavoured with chicken and beef (both 1%) and have no artificial colours or flavours. They are low fat and this size is suitable for 10-25kg dogs - feeding one a day. There are 7 sticks in the pack,
(I think I ate half a packet during the photo shoot alone!)

One thing my hooman liked is that they featured a named dog on the packet, Harry from London in this case, each of the range features a different dog - I wonder if they'd like ME to promote their range ... *dreams*

We think these are made by the same people behind Pedigree as they are manufactured by Mars Petcare.

What were they like?

These are great for chewing, I like to hold them between my front paws and despite their size - they don't last long with me! I loved them!

Would you buy them again?

Love these so definitely would get them again!

Pets at Home Meaty Filled Bone

What is it?

A (assuming it is sterilised) beef bone filled with a paste made from cereals, oils & fats and meat & animal derivatives.

What was it like?

I loved this! I couldn't wait to get my teeths on it and scoop out the filling, it is quite hard to reach the bits right in the centre, but I soon learnt to throw the bone around to dislodge the paste mixture!
I also enjoyed gnawing on the bone itself although I got into trouble for eating this on the hard floors as I made far too much noise and my hooman's were worried I might damage them!

Would you buy this again?

I enjoyed it so hope I'd get one again, pity the packaging states produced in the EU (would prefer to know which country so we could judge on the animal welfare standards) but that is maybe too political for my blog?

Price

£1.99 I think!

lick your nuts and go

A certain hazelnut spread have introduced a take away pack of their product with breadsticks so guess who got to lick out the empty packet?

Meet Patricia

She is a Grey Dagger (Acronicta psi) caterpillar we found eating one of our shrubs.

The pic was taken indoors but she has been released into the wild.

howlin' at the moon?

Just LOOK at my expression!!!

I was being a silly pup in the garden, letting off steam at my hooman taking my picture, and this is one of the pics they took ... it looks like I have buck teeths BOL

This is one pic that should never see the light of day ... oh crap!!!

Classic Natural Rawhide Chews

What are they?

Miniature white rawhide laced shoes (65mm) for healthy teeth and gums.

What were they like?

I know rawhide is frowned upon but my hoomans couldn't resist these tiny shoes. Despite my initial interest, I wasn't so keen on them and only gave them a cursory chew and then they were ignored after about 5 minutes.
Maybe the fact that they had a best before date of 7/2014 might have affected this trial as I'm normally a big fan of chews - having destroyed a rawhide roll before so weird I wasn't into these.

Would you buy them again?

Maybe. We'd definitely check the BBD first!!!
