A Day at the Races

 

 

So you join me at EscarGOT, the unofficial international snail race 2013

 

And as the snails line up at the start line, the starter pistol is fired and the race begins.

Ready, steady ... Escar ... GO!

 

#1 is off to a slow start, slowly overtaken by lanes 4 and 5

#3 has not budged an inch as #2 decides to change lanes ... disqualified!

#1 is in the lead, sliming her tiny frame towards the finishing post.

But wait. Excitement in lanes 4 and 5.

 

It's neck and neck for a while before #5 takes the lead.

 

C'mon number 5

Snail racing is about as interesting as watching paint dry

and they're not even half way!
